My new (very old) desk:


There's writing on the inside of the back panel that says "100 yrs in 1970", could this really be 140 years old???





The details are incredible. It's official, I'm in love with a piece of furniture :). Oh, did I mention this desk was FREE?! Just sitting by the street waiting to be found by me...

In other news, I've been busy busy working for the census. I'm learning a lot and so far it's been very enjoyable. I'm a crew leader assistant for our team, which is doing "non response follow up". Basically making sure that those who did not return their census form get counted. Sounds simple enough, but with the scale of the census, it gets complicated fast :). All my team's work is in our immediate neighborhood, so I can walk or drive just a couple miles, which is great! And it's very safe here.

Taylor is still working remotely for the same company in Portland, so no changes for him. Just a different couch to work from :)
